provisional LUA-API

provisional LUA-API

Postby dertom » Sun Apr 29, 2012 12:23 pm

Hi there, since the current lua-api is quite outdated I thought about ways how to
update this. There is a cmake-option to build the LUA-docs but the generated docs
are created from static(?) files. Don't know exactly how these were created...

EDIT:
Again nothing official. Take it or leave it. This time I used javadoc to create the api. Don't get confused,... it about LUA :D

Have a look here:
http://thomas.trocha.com/gamekit/doc/html/
Here is the old one that is packed in trunk. I link to the samples that are still very useful:
http://thomas.trocha.com/gamekit/doc/old/_examples.html

There are some getters and setters that are created in the doc that are not available in lua.
If those doesn't work in gamekit try to use the variable directly.

e.g.
Code: Select all
-- create the object
tri = OgreKit.gkTriangle()
-- error:
tri:setI0(1.0)
-- use instead
tri.i0=1.0

Actually I only created this for the community, for me the most reliable way is to have a look in the headers instead:
OgreKit/Engine/Script/gsCore.h : most common functions
OgreKit/Engine/Script/gsBrick.h : LogicBrick-releated functions
...there are more

Or download the whole stuff here: http://thomas.trocha.com/gamekit/files/lua-doc.zip

Hope that Helps...

What do you mean? A zip gets unzipped into profile/<config.lua name>, all files that belong to it are in that folder.
